Paul Gernon (Director/Producer)

Prior to A Sporting Jaunt Paul has directed and produced various productions for film and television. His last film ‘Kowboys’ premiered in the 2007 Marche du Film. His other credites include “Coiled Wire”, “Christmas Party” and “Why we Love our Mothers” (directed by Kealan O’Donovan). As well has his work with Wesley Road Films, Paul has worked on several feature productions including “Do Elephants Pray?” and “Umbrage”.

Kealan O’Donovan (Director/Producer)

A Sporting Jaunt marks the fourth time that Kealan has stepped behind the camera. Previously in 2002 he directed “Why we Love our Mothers” , followed by “The Nevexister” in 2005 and “Terminal Man” in 2006. In 2003 he produced “Burnout”, written and directed by George Geraghty which debuted in competition at the Cork film Festival and was broadcast in summer 2004 on the Irish national television station RTE. Kealan has also worked on feature productions such as “Umbrage”.

Peter Gibney (Writer/Producer)

After co-authoring the College short “Leave it to Jesus”, which received attention in the national press, Peter joined Wesley Road Films. Following completion of A Sporting Jaunt, Peter hopes to see his feature scripts receive funding and enter production

Glen Warrillow (Director of Photography)

Glen has spent many years perfecting his craft as a cinematographer and has many commendations to his credit including the audience award for best film for “Daddys Little Helper” at the Sydney International Festival; Best Comedy for “Section 44” at the Show off your Shorts Festival in Los Angeles and Best Kodak Student Television Commercial “Royal Mail”.

Music: Robert Maguire and Blathnaid Healy 

This is Robert's second score for a Wesley Road production, having previously scored "Kowboys" in 2007. He is vocalist and guitarist for the band 'Clockwork Noise', where he performs alongside Blathnaid Healy. Blathnaid graduated from UCD with a first class honours degree in music, where she was the innaugural editor of The Musicology Review. She has been playing the violin for many years and studied at the DIT Conservatory of Music, Dublin. Clockwork Noise have just released their second CD, 'Yes and No and Everything In Between', which can be heard here.
